  • Main house terrace
  • Studio A - The main house deck.
  • The Hood! Camps bay beach hangout.
  • Sun catch garden and pool area. - The garden is broken up into different parts for maximum privacy. The nicest thing is that you can get into sun catch places or cool leafy shade places that are really needed in summer when the heat is too much.
  • Private terrace hammock of studio C - the Riverside
  • More of the Hood....This is the awesome Oudekraal beach - a short drive away - or an awesome bicycle ride too!
  • One of two bedrooms studio A
  • Studio B Coral tree
  • Campsbayglen is above Bakoven side. A beautiful side of camps bay. Table Mountain is behind us and ocean in front. We are a stone throw to the action of Cape Town yet if you need some time out you can easily escape back home away from the crowds.
  • Studio B Terrace
  • Another view of the Camps bay Hood....Table mountain in the back round
  • Garden collage of campsbayglen See the mellow river in the corner
  • Pool area looking back onto mountains - behind the trees is the river.
  • Hammock cabana at the pool area...best place to switch off when you really need some time out. Consider booking the whole house out and then all this is yours and you can even tell the staff not to come ....It's awesome and quiet .....beautiful sounds of river and the sea
  • River waterfalls and rock ponds
  • The river barbeque area - it's cool here and has a beautiful wild safari barbeque on the ground
  • Gets the fire going...
  • River side area
  • The day bed for lazy book lovers....The Day bed is built over the river so is MEGA dreamy ....If you can stay away and read it's a soft chill out space.
  • Hammocks overlapping the pool at night.
  • Pool sun catch area....where you can cook in the sun.
  • The STUDIO B view - Coral tree
  • View of the pool area from a distance with hammock cabana in corner and the sea and nature reserve behind
  • Hammock Cabana at pool
  • The river has a deep black to orange colour from the Fynbos in Table Mountain.
  • Pool and garden on edge of a nature reserve Glen. A wild natural feel -we are close to the sea and easy walk to beach road.

Self catering accommodation near camps Bay Beach that we loved! Campsbayglen

So lucky for finding a lovely houses and for meeting nice persons
We are Chinese family and we arrived on the night of 28 August 2013 and we lived one week. We have to say that we are so lucky to find this house and to meet so many nice people. When we arrived, we has lost our baggage , the owner mark has helped us to contact with the airport, otherwise he also helped us for organizing the trip in Cape Town , and has send us so many useful information. A lovely guy isaak every night to check that if we have returned the guest house safe, so sweet, just like a family. The most lucky, mark let us use his main house Studio A without any fee. I love that fantastic balcony, from there we enjoying looking the sunset on the Atlantic. So beautiful! Thank you Mark, we are really like the style of your house, original, simple and natural. If we will return in South Africa , we will return your house, and anyone of Studio a, b and c, we all like.

Unique Villa in Camps Bay
We stayed for 3 nights in Mark's amazing villa - it truly is unique, you will not stay anywhere like it in Cape Town. It feels very private/secure(we likened it to a jungle hideaway) but then it has the most amazing view of the ocean from the terrace. The pool area is also perfect to relax with sunbeds, hammocks over the pool and the sound of the stream which flows next to the house. It's very central to Camps Bay itself which is a 15min walk or 4 min taxi from the main beach. The inside is also comfortable and clean (not that you spend much time indoors!) I'd have no hesitation in recommending, particularly if you are booking the whole place out.

Want to explore outdside of Cape Town ?

Its an infinty of beautiful places. youll find Cape Town tourism & travel can help a lot in planning a trip around south Africa and being on the open road ! Youll also find places to stay on route

Amazing house in a great area
...Camps Bay is one of the nicest and safest areas of Cape Town. The bay is one of the most picturesque places I've seen with beautiful beaches. I highly recommend anyone to stay here. You will have a great time.

Cape Town Lodge in Camps Bay beautiful rustic - breathtaking Terrace
Beautiful and convienient, highly recommend
I went here for a week in February and stayed in apartment C. I cannot recommend the place enough. Our balcony has a lovely hammock that we could relax on in the evenings. There is a lovely stream next to the premise and the pool area is absolutely stunning. You are about a 20min walk away from the white sandy beach so it's nice and tranquil but you are also close enough to great bars and food. I would honestly come back and stay here if/when I come back to Cape Town.

I even left a charger in the room and they managed to get it to me before our flight. The entire team that runs the place are lovely.

Unbelievable stay in Camps Bay Glen A Self catering holiday villa near beach with swimming pool

We stayed with a bigger group of 16 people in the house. This place is real magic!!! As the pictures suggest, you will find a peaceful place of nature in the middle of Camps Bay. Didn't see any more places in CapeTown giving you the real feeling of staying in Southafrica. Great view at the Ocean and great view at Table Mountain. The owner is a great guy who knows everything of wild nature - you`ve talk to him. Just get in touch with him per e-mail before you go over there - he will help you to get an unforgettable stay!!! Thank you so much

A unique experience...
If you're looking for a rustic, tranquil place with the soundtrack of a waterfall to rest up and recharge between busy tours of Cape Town - this is your place! Lovely pool and view of the ocean... friendly staff and free wifi + dstv full bouquet... a summer visit is definitely in order! Very decently priced too....

Geat Place to Stay with Family
I took my grandkids and my kids on a trip to South Africa on safari and a week in Cape town. We were 11 and looking for those kind of accommodations in Cape town where the whole family could be in one house was difficult. I came across Camps Bay Glen and immediately corresponded with Mark. First of all, he was prompt and answered all of my questions regarding how many beds in each room etc. Within 2 days we were booked in February for a November visit. We had exchanges back and forth over the course of the months and everything was very professional. We arrived in our own cars and found everything ready for us. We could not have asked for a better accommodations. The rooms were spacious, the main gathering room in the 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 11. We were able to cook, eat our meals both inside and out on the deck, swim in the pool, look at the fabulous view despite the crane in the center of the view, and come and go so easily. There was a small store right up the hill and one of the top restaurants in Cape Town there also. The house was cleaned everyday, we got out laundry done, every person that was in charge of the place including Mark responded to our requests. There are plenty of bathrooms, hair dryers, silverware, pans, coffee pots etc. I am sure Mark had to run around and put everything back into the individual apartments after we moved everything.
If you are a traveler that wants everything perfect and shiny new then this is not the place for you. This is funky and fun, relaxed and you don't feel that you have to worry about damaging anything. We had 5 kids from 4 to 13 and it was the perfect place for them. They loved the pool.

The internet was good and there are TV's if you want.

We were too busy to care about them.
I cannot say enough great things about our stay. This place was just what I wanted for my family and Mark is fantastic, I want to take him home with me. vacation rental apartments camps bay cape town south africa.JPG (198022 bytes)  places to stay and things to do cape town.jpg (193816 bytes) self catering accommodation in cape town camps bay -2.jpg (175089 bytes) where to stay in camps bay.jpg (196633 bytes)
